Theresa Mount

Theresa Mount is a retired Senior Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) which provides safe orderly and expeditious air traffic services throughout the National Airspace System (NAS). Theresa retired as the General Manager of the Washington District. The Washington District encompasses all air traffic facilities in Southern New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Eastern North Carolina, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Theresa was responsible for the daily operation and administration of some of the most high-profile and complex air traffic facilities in the National Airspace System. Her district consisted of twenty-eight air traffic control facilities, including Washington Air Route Traffic Control Center, Washington National, Washington Dulles International, Baltimore Washington-Thurgood Marshall International, Raleigh-Durham International, and Philadelphia International airports. The district also included Andrews Air Force Base, home of the Presidential aircraft – Air Force One. She managed 1300 employees and directed facility safety and program operations and was responsible for operations support, finance, and administration. She managed and safeguarded resources and assured that internal controls met Agency standards by applying activity based management in planning, controlling, and improving labor and overhead costs. Theresa is on the Board of Directors for Land of Promise, Inc. She is a member of the National Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees, Inc. and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
