Sheena Saydam spent several years in non-profit and health care policy before jumping into real estate. She quickly became one of the top producing agents in the DC Metro region. With great passion and care, Sheena and her team, Saydam Properties Group at Keller Williams Capital Properties in Dupont Circle serve clients in the District, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Sheena is an Army brat who grew on military bases overseas. She has a Master's Degree in National Security Policy and Graduate Certificate in Multi-Track Diplomacy: Transforming Violent Conflict from George Mason University. Having earned a Bachelor's degree in Government & Politics at the University of Maryland when the Men's Basketball team won the National Championship, she is a proud Terp.
A native of Vienna, VA, Jeremy J. Biggs graduated from the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in 2006 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. Jeremy served seven years of active duty in the Navy: Division Officer for Counter-Narcotic Trafficking deployments to Central America on the USS MCINERNEY (FFG 8), nuclear propulsion plant operator on the aircraft carrier USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH (CVN-77), and admissions officer and adjunct professor at his alma mater, USNA.
Jeremy joined Goldman Sachs Investment Management Division after receiving his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School in New York City. He is a proud native of the D.C. Metropolitan Area and lives with his wife, Tamica, in Washington, D.C.
Cassandra Giddings is President and CIO of OMO LLC. This is a SBWOVD company created and in operation since 2006. OMO LLC provides IT instruction and awareness to seniors. She currently works in the Cybersecurity sector of Information Technology with over 10 years of IT management experience ranging from Help desk Technician to Program/Project Management of IT Programs and Resources. She feeds her passion for IT by remaining current in technology trends and the effects of those trends. She has volunteered with ByteBack, First Time Computers and Jubilee Housing as an IT instructor and resident Computer Lab monitor. She has over 4 years experience as a Systems Administrator working as a contractor for several government programs. She holds a MS in Information Assurance from Capitol College; a MS in Human Resource Administration from Central Michigan University; a BA in Women's Studies from George Mason University. She's earned several IT certifications including the CISSP and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Nora Carrol has been a business owner, marketer, fundraiser and visual artist, represented by CarrolArt http://www.carrolart.com and selected galleries including the Agora Gallery in New York and Period Gallery in the Midwest. She has developed, adapted and/or taught more than 100 classroom and distance-delivered courses in management, marketing and entrepreneurship. Carrol received her B. F. A. and M. Sci. from Syracuse University, and has won two Teaching Innovation Grants from the University of Maryland University College, where she was an adjunct associate professor from 1995-2006. Carrol has published with PBS, in Distance Learning Magazine, the International Journal of University Adult Education, Journal of Arts Management and Law, Fund Raising Management, Export Today (UK), Canadian Direct Marketing News, Association Trends and the National Council of Nonprofit Association HandsNet Electronic Journal. From 1998-2002, Carrol was associate editor for North America, Educational Technology & Society. In addition, Carrol has developed workshops and conference presentations for the 6th International Organizational Behavior Teaching Conference, Milan, Italy; Canadian Direct Marketing Association; North Carolina Quality Conference; Onondaga County Small Business Incubator; Ann Arundel County, MD High Technology Council; and the First International Education-Business Partnership Conference, University of Warwick, UK.
Theresa Mount is an Air Traffic Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which provides safe orderly and expeditious air traffic services throughout the National Airspace System (NAS). Theresa serves as the Terminal District Manager for the Capital District which encompasses all air traffic facilities in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. She is responsible for the daily operation and administration of some of the most high profile and complex air traffic control facilities in the nation. Her district consists of twenty-two air traffic control facilities, including Washington National, Washington Dulles International, Baltimore Washington - Thurgood Marshall International, and Norfolk International airports. The district also includes Andrews Air Force Base, home of the Presidential aircraft - Air Force One. She manages and directs facility safety and program operations and is responsible for operations support, finance, and administration. She manages and safeguards resources and assures that internal controls meet Agency standards by applying activity based management in planning, controlling, and improving labor and overhead costs. Theresa most recently served ten years on the board of the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NBCFAE).
Jasmyne Poindexter is a graduate of Anacostia Senior High School. She attended Urban Ed's teen program throughout her high school years and evolved as a leader in the program inspiring her peers to have a voice and "do the right thing". Jasmyne is a very focused young women, was active with the Anacostia dance team and a member of Junior ROTC. Jasmyne graduated at the top of her class and went to Bennett College in NC in the Fall of 2013 on an academic scholarship.
Harry E. White, Jr. serves as the Founder and President of BW Communications, Inc., a national, full service provider of telecommunications, securities, surveillance, and related services. Since founding BW Communications in 1999, he has been the driving force behind the company's growth. He remains abreast of the latest trends in technology, keeping the company in the forefront with state of the art telecommunications solutions. Before founding BW Communications, he spent over a decade with one of the country's leading and largest telecommunications companies where his responsibilities included recruiting the industry's best applicants, supervising and training technicians, coordinating installation projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. An active community member, Mr. White has served as a volunteer to numerous parent organizations and youth athletic programs including former board member of the Maryland Beltway Lady Cougars and the Maryland / District of Columbia Minority Supplier Development Council. He is currently a director of TransStar Corporation.
