STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

MEET OUR PARTNERS

The Pathways to Prosperity programs thrive from our strategic partnerships. Both funding and in-kind partners, as well as formal and informal partners aim to maximize our organizations collective impact in low-income communities. Current partnerships include (1) technical training support via Amazon Web Services, Cisco Systems, CompTIA, uCertify, uDemy for Business, Tableau, and Microsoft; (2) job placement support via a number of placement firms such as Computer Futures, SThree Plc, Synack, Insight Global, TekSystems and Robert Half Technology; and (3) support services & case management via Family & Medical Counseling Services.

We are continuously expanding our work to provide more IT career pathways and entry points into the IT field for those in need as well as ensure a diverse pipeline of talent to fill the many open tech positions throughout the DMV. Urban Ed is also working to expand our truancy work through our highly effective Lil Bitties program, moving the model from a summer program to year-round within high truant schools.
Urban Ed is also a partner with Pearson Vue. We are an approved global testing center, 1 of only 3 centers in the District of Columbia authorized to administer both technical and professional certification exams for test seekers throughout the entire DMV. We are an open site to the general public and part of the Pearson global network, therefore, people from across the world can test at our site on hundreds of exams from IT to real estate, accounting, nursing, child development, and many many more.
